Clinical Educator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Educator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the provision of education and training to staff and learners working in general surgery services.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver clinical education programmes to support the acquisition of new skills and knowledge.
- Promote a culture of learning and development, encouraging staff to take ownership of their professional growth.
- Collaborate with clinical team leads to identify speciality-specific education and training needs.
- Plan and deliver education and training for groups of staff and learners, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Provide governance in relation to mandatory and speciality-specific education and training, including preceptorship.
- Lead on the development, delivery, and evaluation of multi-professional learning programmes.
- Ensure the delivery of local induction for new staff, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
- Provide coaching and guidance to less experienced staff, supporting their career development.
- Identify potential continued professional development (CPD) opportunities and support individuals and teams to access these.
- Teach and present to multi-professional groups, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Develop and maintain a training database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Produce a range of reports, providing insights into education and training outcomes.
