Building Services Manager - A Key Role in Our Regional Contractor

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Services Manager to join our team at RGB Recruitment in Exeter. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a regional contractor who has a strong presence in the Healthcare, Education, and Local Authority sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tender Review and Design Work: Review tender information, determine the scope and extent of remaining design work, and verify compliance, coordination, and affordability.
  • Design Team Management: Assess and audit novated design team members, negotiate additional services, and prepare fee enquiries.
  • Design Solutions and Subcontractors: Develop competitive and technically robust design solutions, engage with specialist subcontractors, and manage the submission and approval of reviewable design data.
  • Quality Benchmarks and Installation: Establish quality benchmarks, review regularly, and undertake final acceptance, as well as manage the installation of utilities.
Requirements:
  • Technical Expertise: Experience covering design, construction, and commissioning stages of complex projects, with a high level of technical expertise in MEP services, including process engineering.
  • Software Skills: Competent in the use of 4Projects or similar Common Data Environment, with knowledge of software including AutoCAD and BIM.
  • Education and Qualifications: HNC or above in a Building Services or construction-related field, with a full UK driving license.
