About the Role

The Oxford University Hospitals is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Gynaecology Department as an Administrative Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our clinical and administrative teams, ensuring the smooth delivery of patient care and services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to nurses and medics within Gynaecology and GynaeOncology, including face-to-face and over-the-phone contact with patients and liaison with staff of all levels.
  • Work under the direction and supervision of other team members in the department.
  • Assist in the provision of a professional, comprehensive, and efficient administrative service, effectively delivered to all patients and members of the Department.
  • Support the Patient Admin Coordinator in the delivery of a comprehensive administrative service to a specialty team.
  • Manage waiting lists for a specialty, in accordance with the Elective Access Policy, and communicate appointment and admission related information to patients and carers.
