Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our service users with their daily needs, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist with the assessment, planning, and implementation of mental health care to meet the needs of our service users.
- Participate in the development of high-quality care plans, ensuring the needs of our service users are met.
- Support service users with activities of daily living, such as dressing, washing, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to service users, promoting their independence and confidence.
- Observe and report any changes in service users' condition to the relevant healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
Person Specification
- Basic understanding of mental health legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Good written communication skills to enable completion of records and reports.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and nights, as required.
- Basic IT knowledge and ability to use electronic records systems.
