About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Drama Teacher to join our team at Clarus Education Ltd. As a Drama Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality drama education to students in KS3 and KS4.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach drama throughout the school, developing innovative and engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of all students.
  • Develop and implement the drama curriculum, ensuring that it is relevant and challenging for students.
  • Assess and record student progress, providing feedback and guidance to students to help them improve.
  • Monitor and record student attendance and punctuality, taking action to address any issues.
  • Provide pastoral support to students with special educational needs, working closely with other teachers and support staff to ensure that students receive the support they need.
  • Be involved in running extracurricular drama activities, such as the Whole School Production, and trips to the theatre.
  • Teach some lessons in our primary school within the MAT if required.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in a relevant subject and be a qualified Teacher of Drama (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Have experience of teaching in a culturally diverse secondary school and working with mixed ability students.
  • Be aware of the demands of GCSE English Language/Literature and have excellent literacy skills.
  • Have good numeracy skills and excellent communication skills.
