Job Title: Drama Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and creative Drama Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Hackney.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Drama and Theatre Studies to students across various year groups, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and organizing school plays and drama productions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Drama lessons, incorporating a range of teaching methods and resources.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to enhance the learning experience.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a cohesive and effective Drama and Theatre Studies program.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Drama and Theatre Studies curriculum.
  • Experience in teaching BTEC Performing Arts is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
