Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator to join our infrastructure team at Currie & Brown. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates and providing cost planning and estimating services to our clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining cost estimates for infrastructure projects
  • Providing cost planning and estimating services to support project delivery
  • Validating suppliers' and contractors' cost estimates
  • Preparing cost estimates and reports for clients
  • Supporting budget development and cost reconciliation

Requirements:

  • BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or equivalent
  • Technical delivery experience in estimating and/or QS services
  • Extensive experience in the rail and aviation sectors
  • Pre-contract experience
  • Understanding of project management, planning, risk, and investment processes
  • Proficient in cost planning techniques and unit cost modelling tools
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills
  • A team player with a 'can-do' attitude and strong commercial acumen
