Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Diagnostic Ultrasound Service, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality imaging service to patients.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in the provision of a high-quality Diagnostic Ultrasound Service to the Trust, supporting the superintendent radiographer in the day-to-day organisation of the department.
- Accept responsibility for designated areas of work, ensuring that all imaging procedures are carried out to the highest standards.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging ultrasound techniques and relevant topics/professional issues.
- Contribute to the development of the department's policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with Trust objectives.
Person Specification
Education/Qualifications
- Post Graduate qualification in Medical Ultrasound.
Desirable
- To hold a BSc Hons degree or DCR in Diagnostic Radiography.
Experience/Knowledge
- NHS experience in ultrasound imaging post qualification.
- An up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging ultrasound techniques and relevant topics/professional issues.
- Show evidence of being able to adapt to change and respond to major incidents, for example, the COVID-19 pandemic.
