Job Overview

Rise Resourcing is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in West Yorkshire. As a key member of our food commercial team, you will be responsible for delivering a commercially focused product range that meets both company and team targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with large branded FMCG suppliers to ensure continued growth in the categories.
  • Analyse sales figures to plan successful future lines and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Source suppliers and negotiate best cost prices to maximize profitability.
  • Review levels of own brand stock and ensure adequate levels are available to minimize risk.
  • Present reports, figures, and trend information to the Senior Management team to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Deal with and resolve escalated supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Buyer within a fast-paced, FMCG environment, preferably within grocery, confectionery, or snacking.
  • Experience developing Own Label food and international sourcing is highly desirable.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Able to adapt swiftly in a fast-paced, ever-changing FMCG market.
  • Good level of education, with a degree preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
  • Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects.
  • Excellent understanding of all MS Office products, including advanced Excel.
