About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Autism Diagnostic Service at East London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions to individuals suspected of being autistic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of service users, utilizing a range of complex data sources and methods.
  • Develop and implement pre and post-diagnostic interventions, grounded in current research and best practice.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation and advice on service users' psychological care.
  • Engage in consultation work with colleagues across the trust, offering expertise on neurodiversity and autism.
Requirements
  • Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology.
  • Eligibility for Chartered Clinical Psychology status.
  • Membership of a professional body.
  • Evidence of relevant continued professional development.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with individuals on the autism spectrum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
