We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join our Adult Community Mental Health Services team at East London NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist evidence-based assessment, formulation, and intervention for individuals with complex mental health needs.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop psychologically informed services and interventions.
- Contribute to service development, redesign, and improvements in secondary mental health services.
- Provide teaching, training, and professional and clinical supervision to colleagues.
- Participate in quality improvement projects, staff support initiatives, and wider Trust initiatives.
- Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or equivalence, with eligibility for BPS CPsychol (Chartered Psychologist) and HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Postgraduate level training in CBT for Psychosis or Personality Disorder, with accreditation as a practitioner/therapist with the relevant accrediting body (BABCP).
- Experience of delivering CBT for Psychosis or Personality Disorder, working in mental health multidisciplinary settings, and representing a psychological perspective in these teams and services.
- Clinical experience of working with people with serious mental illness presentations, including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
- Further training or qualifications in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice.
- Experience of the application of psychological interventions in different cultural contexts.
- Experience in contributing to service development, redesign, and improvements in secondary mental health services.
- Experience of providing teaching, training, and/or professional and clinical supervision.
