Job Summary

Cammach Bryant is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts / Payroll Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our accounts and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll, including new starts, leavers, holidays, and deductions, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date information in HR systems, ensuring accurate and timely data for all employees.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, credit control, and accounts payable duties in a timely and diligent manner.
  • Assist with the processing of expenses, invoicing, and billing cycles, as well as end-of-month/year activities.
  • Run management information reports using Sage software to provide valuable insights for the finance team.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records, maintaining an audit trail of all compliance documentation.

Requirements:

  • Good standard of education, preferably in a related field.
  • Previous work experience in a similar role or accountancy firm, with a strong understanding of accounts and financial procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and other business management systems and databases.
  • Strong record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Friendly and personable demeanor, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
