Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Visitor to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Health Visitor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to families and children in our community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Contribute to antenatal and postnatal care programs, ensuring the health and well-being of new mothers and their babies.
  • Complete HCP mandated reviews, packages of care, and safeguarding procedures to ensure the safety and protection of vulnerable individuals.
  • Support the supervision and development of colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Undertake a range of clinical and non-clinical interventions to support the outcomes for families and the service, demonstrating a commitment to evidence-based practice.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Build relationships with colleagues to enhance team working and promote a culture of respect and empathy.

Person Specification

We are looking for a Health Visitor with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Registered healthcare professional (NMC registration) with a health-related degree and evidence of relevant postgraduate development at Level 6.
  • Evidence of specialist qualifications relevant to the area of practice, including Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the area of practice, with practical experience in managing health-related projects and complex caseloads.
  • Experience of supporting others, including mentorship, education, and supervision.
