Welder Fabricator Specialist

About the Role
The Welder Fabricator will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to the Project Support and Facility Engineers during upgrade and modification works. The key scope of this role is to fabricate, manufacture, fit, assemble, weld, and machine equipment, materials, and structures to enable the speedy introduction of a DUT to a propulsion test cell.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication of framework and fixtures to allow the installation of DUT to the test cell.
- Modification of exhaust systems, plant/chiller pipes, fuel lines, and other equipment.
- Instrumentation of turbos, catalytic converters, motors, plant pipes, cylinder blocks, and other components.
- Manufacture of bespoke adaptors and fittings.
- Pressure/leak testing of systems and subsequent repair.
- Drilling, cutting, assembly, and fixing of equipment and materials.
- Work request close-off and management.
