Job Title: Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisor

About the Role:

Milestone Infrastructure is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice, guidance, and coaching to our operational teams to ensure the highest levels of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advice: Provide expert advice and guidance to our operational teams on Health, Safety, and Wellbeing matters, including the implementation of our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Management System.
  • Contract/Project Compliance: Advise on contract/project compliance with our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Management System and statutory provisions.
  • Competency Requirements: Advise the contract/project team on competency requirements in line with our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Management System requirements.
  • HSW Plans: Advise the contract/project team on the production, implementation, and review of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing plans, including construction phase plans and depot Health, Safety, and Wellbeing plans.
  • Risk Assessments and Method Statements: Advise the contract/project teams to ensure risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are prepared and reviewed as necessary.
  • Incident Reporting: Ensure the contract/project reports all incidents in line with our incident investigation procedure.
  • Incident Investigations: Undertake incident investigations in line with our incident investigation procedure and identify preventative measures to prevent similar incidents recurring.
  • HSW Audits and Inspections: Conduct Health, Safety, and Wellbeing audits and inspections as per the schedule, recording findings and actions.
  • Relationship Building: Work proactively to build and maintain relationships with contractors, subcontractors, designers, suppliers, clients, enforcement agencies, and other relevant parties.
  • Process Development: Participate in the development, review, update, and rollout of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing processes and procedures within our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Management System.
  • Business Support: Support the business with work-winning activities when requested.
  • Award Submissions: Identify and produce award submissions, such as RoSPA.
  • Culture Promotion: Promote and support a culture of continuous improvement through the development of our Health, Safety, and Wellbeing initiatives.
  • Exemplar Role Model: Act as an exemplar role model in delivering Health, Safety, and Wellbeing initiatives and campaigns.
  • HSW Compliance: Set an example to the business by maintaining a high standard of Health, Safety, and Wellbeing compliance at all times.
  • Specific Briefings: Carry out specific briefings as instructed by the Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Manager.

Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Advisor with:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in health and safety.
  • Qualifications: Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, Technician, or Graduate membership of IOSH.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Working towards chartered membership of IOSH, NEBOSH Diploma, or NEBOSH National Certificate in the Management of Health and Well-being at Work.
