We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic RYA Senior Instructor to join our team at Merton Council's Watersports and Activity Centre in Wimbledon Park.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality training and development programs to adults and children. As an Adults Officer, you will be responsible for providing expert instruction and guidance in a range of outdoor activities, including sailing, powerboating, and windsurfing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver RYA courses and training programs to adults and children, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Assist in the management of the training fleet and ensure that all equipment is maintained to a high standard.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop and deliver outdoor education and development products, ensuring that all relevant safety aspects are adhered to.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure that all participants receive a high level of support and guidance.
Requirements
  • RYA Senior Instructor qualification with valid FA certificate.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in a RTC as an active Senior Instructor.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in coaching adults and children, including those with additional needs.
Desirable Qualifications
  • RYA Powerboat Instructor qualification.
  • British Canoeing Instructor/BCAB Paddlesports Instructor qualification.
  • Windsurf/Dinghy Instructor qualification (opposite to SI qualification).
  • Racing/Advanced Instructor endorsements.
  • Good technical knowledge of the RYA and Adventure marked activities.
