We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Safeguarding Project Coordinator. This role offers an opportunity to become part of a dynamic team passionate about ensuring global safeguarding standards and committed to the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies, procedures, and infrastructure that align with global safeguarding standards and demonstrate our commitment to CHS.
  • Provide continuous support to country offices and IR family members, ensuring the seamless integration of safeguarding and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) requirements into all our operations, projects, and programs.
  • Collaborate closely with the Safeguarding Manager to mainstream the safeguarding strategy, ensuring the fulfillment of safeguarding and PSEA needs.
  • Strengthen preventive measures and actively engage in case management related to safeguarding cases.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Strong familiarity with current sector trends in safeguarding, PSEA, protection mainstreaming, inclusion, and sensitive programming.
  • Experience with safeguarding and protection/inclusion issues in humanitarian settings.
  • Background in training, adult learning, and staff development.
  • Practical knowledge of faith-based approaches in safeguarding, PSEA, protection, and inclusion.
  • Proficiency and experience in safeguarding investigations and case management.
  • Excellent communication and representation abilities.
  • Proficient in writing reports and toolkits in English.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Experience in training stakeholders.
  • Willingness and capacity to travel abroad (up to 30% of the time).
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding and empathy for Islamic values and principles and a commitment to IRW's vision and mission.
