Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide formalized peer support to service users through one-on-one sessions and group settings.
  • Advocate for service users' views and interests when accessing local community and statutory services.
  • Utilize lived experience to build rapport with service users and support them in identifying their own recovery goals.
  • Facilitate access to community groups and networks that enable service users to participate in community activities.

Requirements:

  • Lived experience of mental health problems and experience of using secondary care services.
  • Experience working autonomously and in a team or group environment.
  • Knowledge of using a range of self-management or recovery tools and techniques.
  • Understanding and practical knowledge of mental health recovery.
