Job Title: Part-time Payroll Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-time Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day running of the payroll function, ensuring that wages are processed in a timely manner, in accordance with HMRC regulations and company policy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and process the weekly and monthly payroll for circa 260 employees.
  2. Coordinate the processing of starters and leavers between payroll and human resources.
  3. Administer the Time & Attendance system from a payroll perspective.
  4. Sending paper payslips to employees who have no email account.
  5. Calculate maternity and paternity leave etc.
  6. Pension administration of the auto enrolment scheme, sending data via a CSV file on a weekly basis.
  7. Change tax codes.
  8. Complete payroll journal and balancing to P32.
  9. Primary liaison with Auto Enrolment Pension provider.
  10. Undertake any additional training appropriate and relevant to the performance of the role.
  11. Comply with all H&S policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. Good communications skills.
  2. Minimum of 2 years' experience of payroll processing.
  3. Experience of using SAGE 50 Payroll.
  4. Experience of using time and attendance systems.
  5. Good knowledge of using Microsoft Excel and Word.
  6. Experience of using Outlook.
  7. Ability to manage time and work to deadlines.
  8. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
