People Group Limited is seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager to oversee a significant project in the aviation sector. This role involves leading the mechanical engineering efforts for a major expansion project.

The successful candidate will initially work from the central office before transitioning to the project site to manage the construction, commissioning, and finalization phases.



Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and finalize project timelines, including preconstruction, construction, and commissioning phases.
  2. Oversee and document weekly progress and resource allocation plans.
  3. Coordinate and manage subcontractors to align with project schedules.
  4. Assist in creating and approving health and safety plans for the project.
  5. Ensure installation activities comply with company processes and project strategies.
  6. Manage procurement processes for subcontractor packages in accordance with project objectives.
  7. Oversee subcontractor performance through financial reporting and participation in commercial reviews.
  8. Maintain a risk register for subcontractor packages.
  9. Generate detailed site instructions and requests for information to support the commercial team.
  10. Monitor installation compliance with project strategies and conduct audits as necessary.
  11. Develop and agree on commissioning strategies, ensuring all close-out items are addressed.
  12. Manage subcontractor packages throughout the commissioning process until project completion.
  13. Conduct thorough engineering reviews during preconstruction to ensure design alignment with specifications and schedules.
  14. Ensure compliance of subcontractor designs with project requirements and industry best practices.
