Senior Field Engineer (MEP)

Circa £66,000 + 5% Welcome Bonus + £4,500 Flex Allowance + up to 20% Bonus + Benefits

As a Senior Field Engineer at London Gatwick, you will be contributing to the development and growth of the world's most efficient runway airport. Working in a fast-paced, live environment, and offering development opportunities, you will have the chance to work with supportive and skilled colleagues who take pride in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing construction management resources assigned to you, helping to develop their skills, maintain quality standards and provide guidance and support.
  2. Delivering regular site safety engagement on responsible projects, to ensure an emphasis on and compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) standards and promoting a positive HSE culture.
  3. Reviewing contractor CDM and quality and commissioning submittals for quality and compliance.
  4. Coordinating with electrical and mechanical engineering colleagues to ensure all works are installed to plan.

Requirements:

  1. Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Building Services, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
  2. Experience in significant mechanical, electrical, plumbing and heating projects.
  3. An understanding of the importance of controlling and managing the project close out and handover process.
  4. Experience as a Senior Field Engineer or Section Engineer (airport experience is not essential) managing complex multi-year and multi-million projects typically with a value of £15 million.
  5. Understanding of handover and closeout of projects.
  6. Understanding and knowledge of quality management.
