About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Supervisor to join our team at Chartwells, the leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector. As a Catering Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, maintaining high standards of quality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of catering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food production.
  • Ensure all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Assist with weekly bookwork and other duties as necessary, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policies.
  • Produce weekly rotas, following manager's guidelines, to ensure efficient staffing and scheduling.
  • Place orders for stock, maintaining correct stock levels and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Delegating tasks and ensuring the team is proactive and motivated at all times.
  • Comply with Food Handling & Hygiene standards, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for customers and staff.
  • Comply with Health & Safety regulations, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
Requirements
  • Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
  • Good communication skills, with a focus on excellent customer service.
  • Team player with a can-do attitude, able to work under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
