About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC, a leading provider of affordable mixed-tenure homes. As a Solicitor - Construction Law Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Legal with the provision of construction legal services to our London Divisions and other Divisions across Vistry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and advise on tenders, including JCT DB SoA/ bespoke construction contracts, with forms of collateral warranties/ third party rights, performance bonds, and parent company guarantees.
  • Flow down of supply chain documents from a Development agreement or JCT DB/ bespoke construction contract.
  • Review and assist with consultant appointments or sub/trade contractor comments on supply chain documents.
  • Provide bespoke in-house legal training to stakeholders.
  • Review and update precedents.
  • Review confidentiality agreements.
  • Assist with ad hoc project queries / issues and/or disputes.
  • Provide generic legal advice/signposting to key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experienced construction solicitor with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
  • Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
  • A pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritize workload.
  • A methodical approach to working practices.
  • Able to influence others.
  • Discretion and integrity in attitude and approach.
  • Willing to work extra to meet deadlines as and when business needs require.
  • Ability to manage a number of stakeholders.
