About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Solicitor to join our team at Vistry Group PLC, a leading provider of affordable mixed-tenure homes. As a Solicitor - Construction Law Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of Legal with the provision of construction legal services to our London Divisions and other Divisions across Vistry.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and advise on tenders, including JCT DB SoA/ bespoke construction contracts, with the forms of collateral warranties/ third party rights, performance bonds, and parent company guarantees.
- Flow down of supply chain documents from a Development agreement or JCT DB/ bespoke construction contract.
- Review of consultant appointments or sub/trade contractor comments on supply chain documents, and assistance with response or negotiation.
- Bespoke in-house legal training to stakeholders.
- Precedent reviews/ updates.
- Review of confidentiality agreements.
- Assisting with any ad hoc project queries / issues and/or disputes.
- Provide generic legal advice/signposting to key stakeholders.
- Play a crucial role working collaboratively with panel firms and key stakeholders to drive structure, process and best practice.
- Demonstrate the ability to advise and influence key stakeholders.
Requirements
- An experienced construction solicitor with a strong understanding of construction law and contracts.
- Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
- A methodical approach to working practices.
- Able to influence others.
- Discretion and integrity in attitude and approach.
