Job Title: AWS Database Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Database Engineer to join our team at Novus Altair Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure database systems on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop database architectures for large-scale applications on AWS.
  • Implement and maintain database systems, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems meet business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Develop and implement data security and access control measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Monitor and analyze database performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize database performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS database services and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve database systems and processes.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in database development and administration, with a focus on AWS database services.
  • Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with AWS database services, including Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon Redshift.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehousing and business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations, such as GDPR and HIPAA.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Jenkins and Docker.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures.
