Role Summary:

Our office in London is on the lookout for a Senior Structural Engineer to take on a crucial role within our expanding building engineering division. With a varied project portfolio that includes international skyscrapers and innovative re-use projects, we present exciting opportunities for professionals eager to enhance their expertise. You will collaborate closely with the Structures Lead to oversee project management and mentor junior engineers, working alongside other disciplines within our firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing design execution by preparing, reviewing, and authorizing calculations, drawings, and related documentation.
  • Leading a design team while providing mentorship and support.
  • Successfully delivering multiple smaller projects within established budgets and timelines.
  • Engaging with clients, crafting proposals, and managing project financials.

Candidate Profile:

As an integral member of our Engineering team, you will enhance our capabilities and support our collective efforts.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

  • At least eight years of relevant experience, ideally within engineering consultancy or construction.
  • MEng degree or higher qualifications.
  • Strong time management skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in designing high-rise structures and sustainable engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of timber applications in contemporary structural design.
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead small teams effectively.
  • Robust foundational knowledge in structural engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in relevant design software and compliance with building standards.
  • Good understanding of BIM project requirements.
