We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to support a finance department in managing daily transactional finance operations related to Accounts Payable.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Financial Controller and will be offered a competitive salary ranging from £25,000 to £28,000 per annum.

This organization promotes a hybrid working model, allowing for remote work at least twice a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately and efficiently process supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain precise and current accounts payable records, including ledgers and necessary documentation.
  • Verify and authorize invoices for payment, reconciling them with purchase orders and ensuring all required approvals are secured.
  • Effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, to address queries and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts payable ledgers with bank statements, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assist with various accounts payable tasks as needed, including research, data entry, and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in general finance administration.
  • Familiarity with financial systems.
  • Ability to respond to queries promptly and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Experience in process and controls improvements.
  • Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.
