About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Northern Healthcare. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs, enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and guide service users with day-to-day activities, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Assist with medication management, budgeting, and domestic tasks, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Encourage and support service users to engage in activities that promote mental and physical well-being, such as exercise, socializing, and hobbies.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring the unique needs and aspirations of each service user are met.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance, promoting a positive and empowering environment.
Requirements
  • Experience working in mental health, learning disability, or challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, including confidentiality and safeguarding.
