About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Freedom of Information Officer to join our clients dynamic Customer Management Team.

This role involves handling complex customer enquiries, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, including the Re-use of Public Sector Information Regulations, Freedom of Information Act (2000), and Environmental Information Regulations.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a working knowledge of relevant legislation, and experience in a multi-channel Customer Management Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to complex enquiries and provide accurate and timely responses
  • Coordinate responses with technical leads and ensure clarity and compliance
  • Analyse large volumes of complex data and present it in a customer-focused manner
  • Meet performance and standard targets, escalating any risks to the management team
  • Support team members with complex casework and develop specialist skills
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of customer service
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with internal and external customers effectively
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation and organisation's charging and data licensing policy
  • Familiarity with principles for handling personal data and security policies
  • Experience in a multi-channel Customer Management Team and proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and customer demands
