Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Equipment Specialist to join our team at CV Library. As a Laboratory Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of laboratory equipment, providing technical support to users, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance and Support: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, HPLC, microscopes, balances, pipettes, and cold storage units.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to users, including troubleshooting and resolving equipment-related issues.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and compliant with regulatory requirements, including GMP and ISO standards.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and calibration, as well as user training and support.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and supplies for laboratory equipment.

Requirements

  • Education and Qualifications: Hold a relevant engineering or scientific qualification, such as an ONC, HNC, NVQ, City & Guilds BSc, or MSc.
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in a laboratory equipment maintenance or technical support role.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Possess strong technical knowledge of laboratory equipment, including centrifuges, HPLC, microscopes, balances, pipettes, and cold storage units. Be proficient in Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Personal Qualities: Be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team. Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
