Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will support the delivery of tenancy management services, ensuring that these services are delivered within the Council's framework of quality standards, performance targets, budgetary control, and legislative requirements.

Key duties include:

  1. Supporting the team to deliver an effective and efficient tenancy management and enforcement service to Dacorum Council's tenants.
  2. Ensuring all incoming mail is distributed to the appropriate officers or departments accordingly.
  3. Responding to enquiries and complaints from tenants, staff, and other customers, and providing appropriate information and advice.
  4. Arranging payments using ePCS as a purchasing card and processing purchase orders and payment requisitions using associated systems.
  5. Attending meetings associated with the service as required and taking accurate minutes, ensuring these are distributed in a timely manner.
  6. Supporting Tenancy Management and Enforcement Officers in carrying out key tenancy enforcement duties in line with relevant legislation.
  7. Maintaining, installing, and periodically testing sound monitoring equipment.
  8. Ensuring tenancy records are accurate and comprehensively maintained and processed in line with GDPR legislation and the Council's data retention policy.
  9. Supporting the Tenancy Management and Enforcement Team Leader and Lead Officers in respect of service delivery, key performance indicators, and targets.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. A good standard of general education, with qualifications at GCSE level A-C or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
  2. A high level of IT literacy, including the full range of Microsoft Office applications, and an ability to learn other new systems.
  3. One year's experience working in a front-line customer-facing role.
  4. One year's experience in housing management with a Local Authority Housing Department or Housing Association.
  5. Availability to work outside of normal office hours.
  6. A satisfactory check with the Disclosure and Barring service.
