Electronic PCB Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronic PCB Test Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract or fixed-term contract basis. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for testing electronic assemblies, identifying and documenting failures, and designing and implementing automated test jigs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough testing of electronic assemblies using common lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes, DVMs, and PSUs.
  • Identify and document failures, providing support to electronics engineering to identify solutions.
  • Design and implement automated test jigs to simplify and automate testing, using tools such as USB-I2C and USB-UART adapters and command line scripts.
  • Produce relevant design documentation to enable the procurement and build of test equipment.
Requirements
  • Educated to at least degree level or equivalent in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Experience in testing PCBs to component level.
  • Experience using ECAD software, ideally Altium.
  • Automation software experience, including C and Python, would be desirable.
