About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Operations Manager to join our team at Primark. As a key member of our Security Operations Centre, you will be responsible for managing the execution of our SOC capabilities, ensuring efficient and effective operation of detection, threat and incident response.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage SOC Capabilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our SOC, including detection, threat, and incident response.
  2. Key Contact for SOC Provider: Serve as the primary point of contact for our outsourced SOC provider, managing stakeholders and ensuring seamless communication in the event of a potential security incident.
  3. Threat Hunting and Response: Perform proactive threat hunting to identify threats and assess the state of security controls, working closely with red teams to detect offensive operations and capture and action findings.
  4. Event Triage and Response: Triaging events from various sources, including employee reports, security systems, ethical hackers, and threat intelligence data, to ensure timely and effective response.
  5. Runbook Management: Ensure detection, protection, response, and recovery runbooks are up-to-date, compliant, and highly automated with threat detection technology optimized.
  6. Security Service Integration: Integrate and onboard new security services within the monitoring and detection capability of the SOC.
  7. Cyber Security Incident Response: Conduct tabletop exercises with various teams inside and outside the business to ensure effective response to cyber security incidents.
Requirements
  1. Cyber Security Experience: 6+ years of proven cyber security experience in a hybrid (on-prem & cloud-centric), fast-moving organization.
  2. Cyber Security Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Cyber Security Operations, Incident Response, and Investigations.
  3. Organizational Skills: Experience planning, prioritizing, and organizing work in all required areas to meet requirements.
  4. Education and Certifications: An appropriate degree, equivalent qualification, or experience, and a recognized security certification (e.g., GIAC, CompTIA, Microsoft, CISM, CISA, CISSP, or CRISC).
