Cyber Resilience Manager

At Thames Water, we're committed to delivering life's essential service to our customers, communities, and the environment. As a Cyber Resilience Lead, you'll play a crucial role in promoting a strong cyber incident management and resilience culture across our organization, reducing cyber risk to our essential services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber Remediate Tracker: Establish and maintain a centralized oversight and coordination of identified improvements from post-incidents, exercises, and testing.
- Cyber Incident Exercises: Lead effective planning of cyber incident exercises/testing through engaging with wider incident management and security teams, as well as external suppliers.
- Cyber Incident Management: Maintain oversight of cyber incident management and resilience actions required for our regulatory submissions.
- Cross-Sector Incident Response: Engage with external governing bodies and water sector organizations to encourage cross-sector incident response improvements.
- Maturity Model Development: Design and develop a maturity model to demonstrate the effectiveness of cyber incident management testing and exercising.
Requirements:
- Technical Communication: Ability to take complex/technical requirements or solutions and adapt communications to a non-technical audience so that the business impact can be widely understood.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent stakeholder communications/engagement skills with the acumen to articulate confidential, sensitive, or important issues and solutions in a nuanced and balanced way.
- Incident Management: Experience in translating incident management risks, challenges, and solutions into quantifiable data/benchmarking.
- Leadership: Ability to apply original and innovative thinking to produce new ideas.
- Cyber Incident Response: Extensive experience leading cyber incident response efforts within organizations that rely on both information and operational technology.
- Incident Management Plans: Experience of developing and maintaining incident management plans, procedures, and policies.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Cyber Resilience or Incident Management: Knowledge and experience in Cyber Resilience or Incident Management.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Cyber Security Frameworks: Strong knowledge of cyber security frameworks, industry standards/best practices.
What We Offer:
- Competitive Salary: Competitive salary from £50,000 to £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
- Annual Leave: 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays).
