Lead Cyber Security Specialist – Remote/Hybrid – Competitive Salary + Benefits
We are seeking a Lead Cyber Security Specialist to enhance our expanding cyber security division within a prominent organization that caters to a vast customer base. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that is significantly investing in cyber security and evolving its Security Operations Center (SOC), providing numerous initiatives and projects to engage with.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Proactively addressing risk mitigation strategies.
- Assisting with incident preparedness and response.
- Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of the security landscape.
As a Lead Cyber Security Specialist, you will leverage your comprehensive understanding of Security Operations (SecOps) principles, technologies, and best practices. You will work collaboratively with various teams to ensure optimal security, compliance, and user satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure security measures align with business needs and risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain SecOps documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee cybersecurity solutions across systems, applications, and infrastructure.
- Assist the Cyber Incident Response Manager by evaluating events and performing root cause analysis for security and privacy incidents.
- Gather data for cybersecurity compliance dashboards and ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of SecOps tools.
This senior-level cyber position offers a valuable opportunity to refine and advance your skills across various projects, including transitioning from legacy systems to modern solutions.
To qualify for this role, you should possess:
- Extensive experience in a technical Cyber Security position within a large organization.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Security Operations tools, including Sentinel and Defender.
- Solid exposure to mitigating cyber risks in dynamic digital environments.
- A strong understanding of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
- A general knowledge of IT/Infrastructure along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with managing network security capabilities such as Network Access Control (NAC), Firewalls, VPN, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
As an effective communicator, you will be adept at conveying complex IT or security issues in a straightforward manner to non-technical audiences.
Industry certifications are advantageous, particularly a Microsoft SecOps-specific certification or other cybersecurity credentials such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
