EPR Training Support Officer

The EPR Training Support Officer plays a pivotal role in the Electronic Patient Record Programme, working as part of a team to deliver, develop, and design training content and systems for the local health community. This role ensures that staff have the necessary skills to implement EPR systems effectively, through day-to-day training, deployments, and system upgrades.
Main Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality training to staff on EPR systems in a coordinated and professional manner, in various locations.
- Develop and maintain training databases to reflect live environments, conducive to training.
- Design training courses to accommodate differing skill levels and learning styles.
- Set up and upgrade user accounts, conforming to correct levels of role-based access.
- Participate in the induction and training of new junior doctors, as part of the induction process.
- Share knowledge and skills within the team, actively promoting and supporting the professional development of those engaged in educational delivery.
- GCSE English and Maths Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent experience.
- Keyboard skills to RSA II or equivalent experience.
- Training or relevant teaching qualification (PGCE) or willingness to work towards qualification in PTLLS.
- Highly numerate and accurate, with proven analytical skills to analyze complex data.
- Experience of working with information/data systems.
- Comprehensive training experience, either 1:1 or group setting.
- Highly IT literate, with advanced skills in MS Office.
- Experience of working in a team or independently.
- Good IT skills, demonstrated by use of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience of business change within health systems.
- A detailed understanding of the IM&T strategy and its implications on the organization.
- Experience of training groups of learners with variable skill levels, managing group dynamics to ensure a positive outcome.
- Knowledge of SQL to extract and validate data from various IM&T systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare IM&T systems.
- Knowledge of NHS information processes and capture.
- Able to build working relationships with colleagues, internally and externally.
- Excellent communicator, with good presentation skills.
- Flexible and able to commit to working outside core hours, if the service requires it.
- Have access to a vehicle for work purposes and be able to drive when required.
