Objective:

Key Duties:

  • Property Evaluation: Perform meticulous site evaluations and inspections of residential, commercial, and industrial properties affected by insured incidents such as fire, flooding, subsidence, and other hazards.
  • Report Generation: Create precise and detailed reports for insurance claims, outlining the cause and extent of damage, suggested repairs, and cost assessments.
  • Claims Oversight: Collaborate closely with insurance providers, policyholders, and other relevant parties to efficiently manage and process claims.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all activities adhere to applicable industry standards, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Client Engagement: Serve as the main contact for clients, offering expert advice and support throughout the insurance claims journey.
  • Project Coordination: Supervise repair and restoration initiatives from start to finish, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
  • Risk Evaluation: Identify and assess potential risks related to properties and insurance claims, providing guidance on mitigation strategies.
  • Ongoing Development: Remain informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to enhance service delivery continuously.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional Credentials: Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or an equivalent body.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in surveying, particularly in the realm of insurance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in utilizing surveying tools and software, with a solid understanding of building construction and pathology, alongside strong analytical capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, capable of conveying complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Detail Orientation: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and project oversight.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and client management skills, with the ability to foster and maintain relationships.
  • Organizational Skills: Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, with the capability to handle multiple projects concurrently.

Work Environment:
