Role Overview:

As a Culinary Specialist at our Glen Coe Country House, you will play a vital role in providing a welcoming retreat for guests participating in guided or self-guided walking tours. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving a Traditional British menu, which features breakfast, packed lunches, and a three-course evening meal served in a banquet style.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in meal preparation and service.
  • Plan menus in advance and manage pre-orders for meals.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and hygiene practices.
  • Maintain the culinary standards set by the Head Chef.
Candidate Profile:

  • Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food safety legislation, and hygiene standards.
  • Commitment to maintaining high culinary standards.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cooking or willingness to pursue this qualification.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
