Marine and Specie Claims Handler

Harrison Holgate is seeking a skilled Claims Adjuster to join our team in handling Marine and Specie claims. As a Claims Adjuster, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that claims are handled efficiently and effectively, while maintaining strong relationships with underwriters and brokers.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a thorough understanding of the claims within the Marine portfolio, including analyzing data and identifying trends.
- Ensure that sufficient financial provisions are held for all claims within the portfolio, in accordance with the reserving philosophy, and report accordingly.
- Proactively adjust claims within your claims authority and in accordance with the company claims manual, ensuring the highest level of service to customers.
- Nurture and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including underwriters, actuaries, and panel lawyers.
- Instruct and work with panel lawyers, adjusters, and experts to ensure the best outcomes while controlling costs and reducing claims leakage.
To be successful in this role, you will need prior experience in Marine and/or Specie claims handling. You should have excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
