Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Cargo Claims Handler to join our dynamic and expanding team. The successful candidate will have solid experience in negotiating complex claims, including cargo, commodity trading, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling a variety of claims and managing your own allocated portfolio of accounts.
- Responsible for claims arising from a broad mix of industries, including automobile physical damage, carriers'/warehouse legal liability, contractors' equipment, motor truck cargo, primary and excess stock, project cargo, and sub-sea and offshore equipment.
- Handling claims from first advice to final settlement, including setting up first advice, processing and managing subsequent movements on Lockton internal claims systems and external claims platforms.
- Meeting agreed Service Standards, volumes, and performance levels in line with Key Performance Indicators and handling claims efficiently in a proactive manner through physical and/or electronic broking, negotiations, and management of claims payment process.
- Maintaining claims relationships with key accounts, including regular calls and provision of claims reports to clients and management of Insurers.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in marine cargo claims.
- Some knowledge of policy coverage and associated benefits and exclusions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including networking, influencing, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent use of standard Microsoft applications.
