Building Operations Manager

The Operations Leader plays a pivotal role in leading a cell team, comprising apprentices, technicians, and Manufacturing Engineers in an R&D production facility. Their primary objective is to ensure that the facility operates in accordance with established processes and behaviors, thereby meeting or exceeding targets for Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
Main Responsibilities- Process Compliance and Leadership: Ensure adherence to all relevant processes and serve as a role model for desirable behavior.
- Team Management: Manage team absences and behaviors to meet the expectations of the Manufacturing Technology Centre, including performance management where necessary.
- Schedule and Performance Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the Cell schedule and its performance against commitments for schedule and cost, while maintaining quality and safety requirements.
- Strategic Capability Development: Influence the strategic capability requirements for the future development of the cell's machines and people.
- Team Performance and Business Objectives: Experience in managing teams to achieve business objectives.
- Customer Requirements and Capability Installation: Ability to translate customer requirements into a deployed capability installation.
- Technical and Quality Process Knowledge: High level of technical and quality process knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to practical problems.
- Communication and Project Management: Good oral communication skills and confidence in dealing with a range of people, including clients, contractors, designers, directors, and plant operators. Project management skills such as stakeholder management, organisation, planning, requirement capture, etc.
