About the Role

Pertemps Heathrow is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operations Clerk to join our team. As an Operations Clerk, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our logistics department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Entry and Management: Accurately enter and manage data related to imports and exports, ensuring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Job Booking and Management: Book and manage jobs from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient completion.
  • Import/Export Arrangements: Arrange imports and exports for all modes, including air, sea, road, and courier services. Training will be provided for inexperienced modes.
  • Export/Import Declarations: Complete export/import declarations on Sequoria (CDS) with precision and accuracy.
  • AWB Management: Raise and complete export AWBs, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Rate Sourcing and Quoting: Source rates and quote clients for imports and exports, providing competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Collection and Delivery Management: Arrange collections and deliveries across the UK and worldwide, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Job Completion and Filing: Complete, upload, and file jobs accurately and efficiently.
  • General Queries and Support: Provide support and answer general queries from clients, customs, deliveries, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Courier Shipments: Book courier shipments for the UK and worldwide, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Warehouse Management: Use the WMS to organize pick and pack orders, and assist with warehouse involvement as needed.
Requirements
  • Import/Export Experience: Previous import/export experience of 1-3 years is preferred.
  • IT Skills: Good IT skills are essential for this role.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail is required for accurate data entry and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels is essential.
