We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Aldwych Consulting in Manchester. Our company is a reputable construction consultancy firm that works on exciting and challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Establish client requirements and undertake initial cost planning exercises.
  2. Conduct cost planning and value engineering to RIBA design stages and provide informed client cost advice.
  3. Monitor and record project costs.
  4. Identify project risks and assess cost variations.
  5. Value completed works and arrange payments in accordance with the contract.
  6. Produce draft projects or claim reports under the supervision of senior staff.
  7. Issue notices in accordance with the contract under claim situations.
  8. Liaise and communicate effectively with project team members and clients.
  9. Maintain detailed variation and risk register information.
  10. Prepare draft final accounts.
Requirements:
  1. Attend and contribute to project meetings.
  2. Understand Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods.
  3. Have a thorough knowledge of construction techniques and principles.
