Job Title: Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary:

Caval Limited is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets, supporting tender documentation and contractor selection, and monitoring project costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Construction:
    • Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
    • Support in the development of tender documentation and contractor selection processes.
  • Construction Phase:
    • Monitor and report on project costs, tracking against the budget and identifying areas for cost savings.
    • Assist with processing payments to contractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
  • Post-Construction:
    • Help in preparing final accounts, reconciling costs against the budget and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
    • Contribute to the project close-out, including cost reports and handover documentation.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices and procedures.
