Join the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, where we focus on maintaining and optimizing technologies across the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.

ROLE OBJECTIVE:
We seek driven, customer-oriented individuals to join us as Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Managers. In this role, you will oversee a team of engineering technicians, emphasizing safety through training, development, and mentorship.

Your primary goal will be to ensure high equipment availability by conducting preventative maintenance and adhering to established processes and protocols.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and mentor your team, ensuring adherence to safety and efficiency standards.
  • Collaborate with your team and the broader network to leverage technical expertise and develop effective solutions.
  • Assist the Reliability Engineering Manager in working with the Site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement and audit safety compliance programs.
  • Uphold network standards and prioritize preventative maintenance to guarantee equipment availability for internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure adequate technical coverage for shifts by organizing and directing the training program for your team.
  • Manage local projects or support EU-level initiatives as directed by management.
  • Be prepared to work shifts to maintain a strong connection with your team and daily operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· Extensive practical engineering experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Familiarity with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
  • Experience adhering to health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, CAD).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS· Comprehensive knowledge of specialized engineering and facilities equipment within the Fulfillment Center, along with maintenance and safety protocols.

  • Experience with PLC-based control systems.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs.
  • Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Processes.
