The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our assets, working closely with the engineering team to improve operational efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • **Asset Management:** Develop and implement asset management strategies to enhance reliability and availability, ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
  • **Maintenance Planning:** Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • **Technical Advice:** Provide technical advice to the business on asset-related matters, ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
  • **Compliance:** Ensure all assets and asset management activities are conducted in accordance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • **Data Analysis:** Analyze asset management performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, providing recommendations for process enhancements.
  • **Reporting:** Provide timely and accurate KPI reporting to stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and progress towards goals.
  • **Risk Management:** Proactively monitor and control risks associated with asset management, implementing preventive measures to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
Requirements:
  • **Education:** Educated to degree level in engineering-related subject or high-level experience in asset procurement, maintenance, data collection, and analysis.
  • **Experience:** Must have a sound engineering background in the maintenance/repair of vehicles and plant, with previous experience working as part of a team and reporting into a senior team.
  • **Knowledge:** A sound working knowledge of bus service operation, including vehicle types, maintenance procedures, working arrangements, and relevant DVSA legislation and interaction.
  • **Certification:** Must hold current Transport Manager CPC qualification, or be willing to work towards it.
Working Hours:

Basic 38 hours per week. Flexibility required for hours/days worked (including weekends) in line with operational requirements.
