As part of the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the technologies that support our Global Warehouse & Delivery Network.


ROLE PURPOSE:

We are seeking dedicated, customer-oriented individuals to take on the role of Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager. This position involves leading a team of engineering technicians, focusing on safety through effective training, development, and coaching.

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure high equipment availability by adhering to preventative maintenance protocols and internal procedures.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Guide, support, and mentor your team, ensuring adherence to safety and efficiency standards.
  • Collaborate with your team and the broader network to leverage technical expertise and develop effective solutions.
  • Assist the Reliability Engineering Manager in working with the Site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement and audit safety compliance programs, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Enforce network standards and prioritize preventative maintenance to guarantee optimal equipment availability for internal stakeholders.
  • Organize and direct training programs to ensure adequate technical coverage for all shifts.
  • Manage local projects or support EU-level initiatives as directed by management.
  • Be willing to work shifts to maintain a close connection with your team and daily operations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Extensive practical engineering experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  • Experience with automated systems, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, CAD).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Comprehensive knowledge of specialized engineering and facilities equipment within Fulfillment Centers, along with maintenance and safety protocols.
  • Experience with PLC-based control systems.
  • Project Management expertise.
  • Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) applications.
  • Experience with Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Processes.
