Join the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering team, where we focus on maintaining and optimizing technologies within the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network.
ROLE OBJECTIVE:
We seek driven, customer-oriented individuals to join us as Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Managers. In this role, you will lead a team of engineering technicians, emphasizing safety through training, development, and mentorship.
Your goal will be to ensure high equipment availability by adhering to preventative maintenance protocols and internal procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mentor and support your team, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with your team and the broader network to leverage technical expertise and develop solutions.
- Assist the Reliability Engineering Manager in coordinating with the Site Safety department and Site Leadership to implement and audit safety compliance programs.
- Enforce network standards and prioritize preventative maintenance to maintain high equipment availability for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure adequate technical coverage for shifts by organizing and directing team training programs.
- Manage local projects or support EU-level initiatives as directed by management.
- Be prepared to work shifts to maintain close connections with your team and daily operations.
- Extensive practical engineering experience, including supervisory roles.
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
- Familiarity with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Proficient communication skills (written & verbal) in English and the local language at CEFR Level B2 or higher.
- Experience adhering to health & safety standards and regulations.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, CAD).
- Comprehensive knowledge of specialized engineering and facilities equipment within Fulfillment Centers, along with maintenance and safety protocols.
- Experience with PLC-based control systems.
- Project Management experience.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) programs.
- Background in Kaizen and Continuous Improvement Processes.
