Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for Senior, Principal, and Lead Control & Instrumentation Engineers on a contract basis with hybrid working arrangements for our FEED projects.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Electrical, Process, or Process Control Engineering
  • Extensive experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the oil, gas, or petrochemical sectors
  • Experience in Middle Eastern projects is advantageous (Gas Plants, Refineries, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of fundamental instrumentation and control, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis
  • Proven experience in instrument selection for process applications
  • Strong understanding of boiler control, process heater control, and process furnace control in accordance with project requirements
  • Familiarity with materials and material selection for inline instrumentation
  • Knowledge of electrical systems for instrumentation, including cabling, wiring methods, grounding, and control circuits, with experience in hazardous area design implementation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of national and international standards, particularly ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and IEC
  • Field experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries with diverse instrument and control installations, including experience during plant construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations
  • Familiarity with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), with experience in Foundation Fieldbus
  • Experience with selected project vendor's PCS (project control system) and FAT (final acceptance test)
  • Proficient in office and technical software
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal
