**Job Summary**

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation and Control Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. As a Senior Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of project work, ensuring that all tasks are completed in accordance with the Discipline Design Instructions, including Wood and/or Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead the development and implementation of instrumentation and control systems for offshore projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that all project deliverables are met.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with industry standards, including ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and IEC.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical input to ensure that all project objectives are met.

**Requirements**

  • BSc in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Extensive experience in instrument and control engineering in the oil, gas, or petrochemical industry.
  • Project experience is preferable, with a focus on gas plants, refineries, and other complex industrial processes.
  • Strong knowledge of basic instrumentation and control, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, and process analysis.
  • Experience with instrument selection, hazardous area design, and electrical systems for instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of national and international standards, including ISA, ANSI, ASME, API, NFPA, and IEC.
  • Field experience in oil, gas, or petrochemical industries, with a focus on instrument and control installations.
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), including implementation and testing.
  • Experience with Foundation Fieldbus and other industrial communication protocols.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in office and technical software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on English language proficiency.
